Hand painted glass-fired skull and crossbones enamel pendant mounted in a sterling silver scalloped silver bezel with the rear stamped with my maker's mark. The pendant is hallmarked at the Goldsmiths Assay Office in London and is suspended on a sterling silver chain.
This enamel plaque is inspired by European 17th and 18th century memento mori. The vanitas symbol is surpisingly a celebration of life, rather than death, and it is a reminder to enjoy life!
The pendant measures 20mm diameter x 4mm deep.
The chain measures 455mm long.
